203 E. 10th, between 1st and 2nd Aves. Line up outside, before 9 pm if you can, sit at the counter, and watch Chika and Mike assemble amazing desserts. Price fixe; you get a "main course" dessert, opaquely-named, beautifully composed (the descriptions make sense when you see them put it together), and "amuse-bouche" (ours was lime peel sorbet in coconut custard soup), and petit fours. I got Fromage Blanc Island Cheesecake and Lori got Warm Chocolate Tarte with Pink Peppercorn Ice Cream and Red Wine Sauce, and chocolate nibs that you thought were going to be pepper when you bit them, until the flavor hit you. So artful, a form of therapy.
