Chika is one of my heroes! She runs her own little Dessert Bar, ChikaLicious, in the East Village (203 E. 10th, btwn 1st and 2nd), just a narrow little place, simply but beautifully outfitted, and hand makes the most elegant and wonderful little desserts. I can't describe them, but they sound and look so simple but are a burst of flavor and texture. It seems like such a dream to have your own little place making lovely little creations for people to enjoy.

Amuse Bouche: Strawberry mousse with honey sorbet. Pluot tartare with vanilla creme anglais and Basil sorbet. Kirsch soaked crumb brioche with Chantilly, cherry granita. Three spice butter cookie, coconut marshmallow, chocolate truffle.
