Instead of stocking up at a chain drug store, go to Ricky's. Cool little place packed with nice cosmetics, household goods and other off-beat items (including x-rated). Several locations around the city; the one on 8th near NYU has a sign that says "Everyone should have health care," including pictures of U.S. congresspeople who haven't voted for health care reform.
