Fifth Avenue and Central Park

Sent a large box (20 lbs) home from a local mailing place, New University Pen and Stationery; I guess because of the campus, there are a lot of mailing places around.


Headed out around 3 to meet Josephine near her office; I went to Rockefeller Center (urban farmer's market!) and wandered to her area, just to see a bit of midtown. Zig-zagged north and east, back again through Lever House (more on those cool Tom Sachs sculptures here), to 56th and Park. Met up, and together went to FAO Schwarz, the Apple Store, Jamba Juice at Whole Foods, then through Heckscher Playground and the Merry-go-round at Central Park. The big rocks (Umpire Rock) by the playground are amazing. Back to Alice's Tea House for scones. Back to Columbus Circle and home on the B train. A lot of walking on a lovely day.
